The first Merci Maman bracelet was handmade by our founder, Béatrice de Montille, in 2007; a French mom living in London, she created her first design from her kitchen table. Since then, the brand has grown from strength to strength and Béatrice now sits alongside her husband, Arnaud, and their team of 43 in their London, Paris and Berlin studios.

Merci Maman — ‘Thank you Mommy’ — is a nod to the creators' French roots and the original celebration of the mother and child bond. The first bracelet was born when Béatrice realized that, after the birth of her own babies, the gifts she received were mainly for the children. She felt as though the new mom deserved something special to mark the moment they become a parent; seeing your baby’s name hand-engraved on a necklace or bracelet was such an emotional moment (be it the first or the fourth time!).
